Ok - I'm gonna do a review tomorrow - with spoilers - I will hide it behind an LJ cut ...

For the time being ...

It's good ... Not Excellent, not 'New Hope' - and Certainly not 'Empire' but I'd put it at number 3 (maybe jointly with Jedi).

It could have been better - but it would have to have been hours longer... which for the general unwashed masses wouldn't have worked,

But ... We would have had Palpatines Trap explained, why Dooku had every reason to look pissed off and so much more I cant talk about with out slipping into spoilers ....

See it .. Then read the book ...

Oh and if you get a chance - See Clone Wars Vol 2 first - the film starts EXACTLY where it ends ....( I can take or leave volume 1 - but volume to is real back story ... agian will save fro spoiler review tomorrow) ....

I'm still trying to decide on my true feelings.

I really liked it from around the time Anakin became Darth.

I think at some point Lucas must have stepped out of the room and someone edited in the 'Clive Barker Moment' thinking the rest of the film was too cutesey - and they'd have been right.

I wished the actors had tried some acting at the start instead of just delivering lines. They looked and sounded SO bored! But once the fights got going and the emotions started to run high things picked up.

The ending was of course inevitable. Lucas could have thrown us some twists and turns (Windy Windu also turning perhaps?). But it wasn't a bad second half and of course there was the moment at the end for those of us who have waited patiently for Obi and Qui-Gon to be reunited ::happy sigh::

I think they were bored - Ewan M makes no secret of the fact that he'd had enough of the whloe thing before filming started and I doubt he was the only one.

But still - I enjoyed it - It seems Lucas finally took the cries of Lightsabres, Lightsabres and more lightsabres from the fans to heart.

there certainly were a lot of lightsabers - in the cinema and on screen! and i had my inflatable one :-)

but dooku's was the best always
