BBC Exclusive UK Rights to Heroes S2

The BBC have taken a fairly big gamble ...

They are rumoured to have wanted S2 so badly they have paid over 450,000 an episode (as thats what one satalitte provider (they refrain from saying who) was prepared to offer.

The show will be on 1 and 3.

Considering they havn't aired the show on BBC 2 yet (starts in August after Sci Fi's exclusive runs out) this is very brave as it may not take off here the way it has in the US.

On the otherhand it could be the new Buffy ...

Of course this means you guys who don't do the download thing wont get S2 till next year ...

The S1 finale didn't disapoint either. Thats the thing about Heroes... Its not about action and loads of super powered fights. Its about people and characters and their interaction. Nuff Said.

Yep - well S1 will run from August until um... January at least ... so being the BBC you wont get S2 till August again - unless they go straight into it - which will still be 5 months behind US ...

s1 Box set's not due out until August 28, this year, in the US. Dunno when it'd be available in the UK, or at what price (I'm thinking of the Lost shambles).

So I'd guess, not until about late August 2008 for Season 2. Only 15 months.

S1 box set is coming out on HD DVD on the 28th too *bounce* and from my UK source it's cheaper than importing the regular DVD set via amazon lol

I'm not too taken with the orgins thing - I'd rather just have an extra six heroes - and as for voting which of the six becomes a regular *sigh* ;)

Thanks for the good news - I managed to see the first ep and then totally missed the others so I'm glad that I'll get the chance to see it. (I had been saying to people that I'll have to get the dvd set when it came out ...)
