Well some complete wank butt from turkey decided to try and hack the Gaspode.net forum...

He couldnt get into the data base so just corrupted it insted ...

I've reinstall the latest phpBB but cant be bothered to do more right now ..
I mean the forum is a small board with 8 or 9 regular posters so why bother ?

Talking of updating the movie collection ....

I just wish they would release the Bladerunner Special Edition. It's printed, mastered and commentaried - and much better quality transfer than the now 10 year old release of the BR:DC ... However its residing in a legal hell at the moment with no sign of release (for the story see http://www.brmovie.com/BR_Special_Edition.htm ).

It's also supposed to have 3 versions of the movie on it (Ala the criterion collection of Brazil). The Original cut (with voice over) A new REAL directors cut (the so called DC was really rushed - basically putting the film back to its pre test screening format, cutting some footage from legend and pushing it out with a lot of Ridley Scott hype who was flavour of the month at the time) which was done over a much longer period by scott as it should have been, and a work print seemingly.

Blade Runner has always been my favorite movie - ever. Ever since I saw the original 1982 cut I fell in love with the movie - for me, though flawed, its everything that I love about the genre.

Sod it - I may even drag out the DC and watch it right now :)

Good old Tivo ...

Every so often I relaise how wonderful Tivo is ....

Sea of Souls started last night rather than next week like I thought - Luckily the season pass from last year was still in place and Tivo recorded it :~)

If anyone is still thinking about PVR's - Get a Tivo ... There are a still plenty available on line. From Ebay or from the Tivoland web site (and other uk guys)...

It may be older tech than some of the new machines - but they just dont come closs with the season passes and reliability .... Plus you can stick it on the network and download the files to a PC - then DVD em or convert them to DivX (and take out all the ads and crap).

I'll have to get a new Sky~+HD box for HD but the Tivo will still be recording all teh non HD stuff.
