I'll say one thing - While the first episode was a little ... well average the second one over on BBC4 was everything I love about the show....

Aye, I wasn't enamored of Marc Warren's accents. As with his Hogfather performance, he seemed to be trying too hard to with the character. If he'd just got on with playing the part the same as Danny it would have been fine.

The second episode was much better (but now I want them to show two episodes on BBC4 next week!). What was really suprising was that it was written by Chris "I destroyed Torchwood" Chibnall. So either he can't write "proper" SF, or there's something to do with the difference in production teams, as this was so much better.
