I've just done the Stargate double bill - Thats the real one, The Movie and Children of the Gods (or 1x01 if you insist ).

Its interesting viewing (and not just the full frontal nudity the uncut 18 cert pilot got in the uk) - the cast changes don't jar as much as i thought they would and watching the movie and pilot togeather adds emphasis to the plight of Sharai and Skarr ...

Its reminded me of why I got into Stargate in the first place ...

Did it not annoying they changed the woman's name - from Sha'uri to Sharae. Also, did you see in the pilot the bit where the Goa'uld are able to go both ways through the wormhole, disregarding the later rule about use of the Stargate?

Are they able to go both ways ? It looked to me like we just didnt see them dial (I assume you mean when they first come through in the gate room at the start) but then that of course begs the question that even if Apophis did disconnect and reconnect - how did he dial ...

Both ways: referring to right at the beginning when the Goa'uld guards come through the stargate, then turn around and go back through the same open wormhole.
