The Sony Experia X1 (whenever the damn thing eventually comes out) looks nice too, though it doesn't have the 5 line keyboard of the HTC Touch Pro. I think one of these 2 or the iPhone is likely to be my next phone, though I'll be waiting until I've read some proper hands-on reviews of all 3.

The X1 does look promising, and I've been watching for it for a while. The Touch Pro may beat it though.

I've only recently bought a Blackberry for my T-Mobile account, which doesn't have 3G, so a bit annoying. However, I'm not willing to switch networks to Orange, so a bit irrelevant. Now, if they were to make it available on Vodafone, I might consider it a possibility when I next upgrade on that.

The only benefit I've had from being an early adopter is that I've been able to use an iPhone for the last eight months. Well worth it really. And it's not like I didn't know the next version would be much nicer.

Its a usage thing - As i said to you before my main issue was always the 3G thing (and it was over priced - but i've never been one to worry about that ;-) )

As long as you are not planning on using it as a laptop modem ... Otherwise get your name on the O2 list...

Yup! Waiting is precisely what I did. Although to be fair, they're being pretty generous with allowing old iphone customers to trade up.

Ah, but I was saying I was probably going to give the N95 until about June. Although it'll probably be gone August, since I'll wait for July's riots and activation nonsense to die down first.

I might even read about it a bit first...

I still have my doubts too to be honest (not to mention its STILL an o2 exclusive) .. But this seems better - but still doesnt seem to have the ability to act as a modem ..

I was just discussing with work mates yesterday that the Touch Pro looks like it could finally be a decent smartphone.

The new iPhone is better, but still is fundamentally a closed device (though the app store makes it a little more open) and the lack of keyboard is painful for serious use.

The keyboard is one thing, also the fact it can't act as a laptop modem (I think) .. Plus of course this stupid O2 exclusivity deal... I have a Tytn II (which took over from my Tytn and Exec) so the Pro is looking good ... I think HTC have been seriouly underrated and i'd like to see the Pro do well (and i'm due an upgrade next month too so thats good) ...
